ZEN Japanese Grill & Sushi Bistro - Fresh Hibachi, Sushi & Authentic Japanese Dining in Miramar Beach, FL

Wow! This place is better than I expected. I love Japanese Hibachi but since I was traveling on vacation and new to the area we were staying, I didn’t have my expectations set too high. I was impressed by everything. The food is cooked very well great seasonings. The portion size of very large so you’ll have plenty to take home with you. It’s super clean, nicely decorated and the customer service is 10/10 and super quick with bringing out your food! If you like Japanese Hibachi, you’ll love this place!

I have found it difficult to find decent sushi around the area. I am lucky to have found the offerings here at Zen meet my sushi to cost ratio. I didn’t have my hope to high but they certainly pleased my stomach. They have fresh sashimi and plenty of choice is rolls that can also be offered in hand rolls. The sashimi platter was great! I had tried a few rolls from their menu and overall everything was good. The rice had good flavor, nothing was stale or left out for awhile. The only thing they might need work is their miso soup. Customer service wise it was excellent! Very attentive and accommodating. We had sat at the sushi bar and it was also entertaining to see the chefs and helpers craft up beautiful plates of sushi and the presentation. The restaurant is big and had plenty of seating. The parking lot is also in a small shopping center so there should be ample parking if isn’t too busy. I would deff like to come back to try more of their rolls!

We had the most amazing meal here. They start with a complementary delish appetizer. It’s missing one piece cause I forgot to take pic. The sashimi platter was the best ever. We couldn’t believe the portions and it was so fresh and tasty. The shrimp and filet hibachi was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Cannot recommend this enough

Great and worth a visit! My expected pretty middle of the road when we found this place. Honestly though, it was great. My wife had the steak bento and it was fantastic. Great flavors on everything. Steak was perfect and tender. The sushi was really solid. Large rolls with great flavors. It wasn’t crazy overpriced like all the other places we ate. The service was really good too.

Had a WONDERFULE BIRTHDAY EVENING TONIGHT! Though we came in later, they treated me like royalty. I was pleasantly surprised with the romantic and cultural atmosphere and the service from Sen and Liko was top notch at the bar! Talk about being amazed and your taste buds tested to the max! If you don't like sushi, this is the place because EVERYTHING is great and FRESH and anything you get will be tasteful! If your a sushi vet like us, prepared to be amazed and blessed by something different than what we already eat in Destin making you want more. Berry and Faye the owners made sure I had a wonderful birthday night with traditional bonsai shots! We had a blast! We will def be back. Bring your friends and family if you want to impress!

been meaning to find a good sushi spot in the area and this hit the spot! we came about an a hour after the opened on a sunday and it wasnt busy so we were seated right away. we restaurant is very open and not crammed and they have a bar there too. we were offered a small sampling on the house which was a fried crab stick with eel sauce and spicy mayo. we got the fried calamari roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, salmon nigiri, and the chicken hibachi lunch. the sushi was delicious! my favorite was the calamari roll. fresh tasting fish on all rolls. my only “complaint” was that the spicy tuna mince for the roll was a little too minced for my liking but the flavor was still good. the hibachi chicken was delicious too! came with so much food. it came with soup, salad, low mein, fried rice, veggies, dumplings, and the protein. our meal was great and we enjoyed our time here. we will definitely be back to try other items on their menu!

My handsome husband and I enjoyed a wonderful Saturday afternoon lunch here. We sat at the Sushi Bar (definitely recommend!). Everything is top quality and the presentation is INCREDIBLE! Check out the dry ice with our tuna sashimi! The Margarita Roll is one of our favorites. If you are in the Destin area, definitely check this place out!

My family and I got ready to go to a high dollar restaurant, only to find out it was closed for Labor Day. We ended up finding this place, and our expectations were blown out of the water. Service, atmosphere, price, and food were all great. The food had awesome presentations, like the volcano roll in the video. The staff were amazing, and even gave us a sushi roll on the house. Will be adding this to one of our top restaurants to eat while visiting Destin.
